Due Diligence/ Property Acquisitions
Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments:
Konicek Environmental Consulting, LLC provides comprehensive environmental research through review of regulatory environmental and public information databases as well as review of historic property use documentation. Conducted in accordance with ASTM and USEPA Standards. ASTM E1527-13 Standard Practice for Environmental Site Assessments: Phase I Environmental Site Assessment Process and ASTM E1903-11 Standard Practice for Environmental Site Assessments: Phase II Environmental Site Assessment Process, respectively. Less extensive Database Searches and Transaction Screens conducted in accordance with the ASTM E1528 Standard Practice for Environmental Site Assessments: Transaction Screen Process can be performed as a preliminary due diligence discovery tool.
Building & Asbestos Inspections
Konicek Environmental Consulting, LLC is a Wisconsin-certified Asbestos Company that provides asbestos and pre-demolition/renovation inspection and project management services for building owners, construction contractors, and interested parties. Our holistic management services include building material sampling, asbestos abatement coordination and universal waste disposal coordination as part of building renovation/demolition and site redevelopment activities. When combined with the environmental assessment process, the client will be able to better understand the actual property acquisition business risk and cost.
Environmental Site Investigation and Brownfields Redevelopment
Konicek Environmental Consulting, LLC conducts storage tank closure assessments, environmental subsurface site investigations, remedial action plan development, regulatory communication and case closure submittals, all in accordance with the Wisconsin Administrative Code (WAC) NR 700. Konicek Environmental Consulting, LLC has a proven track record in Brownfields redevelopment and assisting in obtaining financial assistance through Brownfield grants, DERP financial assistance, and PECFA reimbursement programs.
In combination with the Environmental Site Investigation and Brownfields Redevelopment process, Konicek Environmental Consulting, LLC provides project design and management, bid specification development, hazardous waste characterization, and hazardous waste disposal management services.
Vapor Intrusion Screening Inspections and Vapor Investigation
In addition to soil and groundwater subsurface investigations, Konicek Environmental Consulting, LLC also performs Vapor Investigations in accordance with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR) and USEPA Guidance Documents. Vapor subsurface Investigations utilize the Cox Colvin Vapor Pin technology. Vapor sampling is minimally invasive and is performed with a 6-liter summa collection canister regulated to collect vapor samples over various time intervals.
Continuing Obligation (CO) Annual Cap/Barrier Inspections
Got a closed site and closure letter, but you're not sure how to go about inspecting the established cap area? Konicek Environmental Consulting, LLC will personally help you determine what course of action to take and, if need be, assist in performing and inspecting your established cap area in accordance with regulatory standards. We will work with you to satisfy regulatory standards during any potential site redevelopment activities that may disturb a pre-existing cap area.
